Last Chance To Celebrate The Life Of Enzo Ferrari

celebrate-life-enzo-ferrari.jpg

Ferrari founder Enzo Ferrari is one of the greatest personalities in the history of the car industry. His determination and sheer love for what he did made him seem larger than life. To mark the 120th anniversary of his birth, two new exhibitions have been created for the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.

The exhibitions are called Driven by Enzo and Passion and Legend. They were created to retrace the developments in technology throughout the company’s history. Both exhibitions feature interactive stations, giving visitors the chance to see the most important 2+2 cars that Ferrari designed. The stations also provide a virtual tour of the modern-day production facilities.

Driven by Enzo is dedicated to the Ferrari founder’s personal collection. He had a habit of trying out every vehicle produced at Maranello. In particular, he loved four-seater models. This was based on comfort and the fact that he could drive around his visitors. Enzo had a fondness for the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT 2+2, 400 GTi, 412 and 456 GT. Even when Enzo decided to hire a chauffeur in 1969, he couldn’t resist getting behind the wheel. A lot of the time, the chauffeur ended up as a passenger!

Passionate and Legend is dedicated to Enzo’s life story and his journey with the company. The exhibition compiles seven decades of stunning cars. Some of the motors to feature are the 1948 166 Inter, 1956 250 GT Berlinetta and Dino 246. The 166 is interesting because it was the first Ferrari that was made mainly for road use. The exhibition also showcases modern vehicles like the F12tdf and the highest-performing road car, the 812 Superfast.

The exhibition will run until May 2019 and for more information you can check out the official museum website. Paying tribute to one of the greats of the classic car industry is something that shouldn’t be missed. Hurry before the exhibition ends!
