Personalise your Harley Davidson XR1200

Harley’s much anticipated XR1200 flat-tracker styled bike is due to arrive in the UK soon, and the US company has given customers a peek at the list of accessories which will be available in 2008 for the new machine. There’s a detachable Sport Windscreen, which boasts a clear-to-black gradient fade, while a quick-release mounting system makes installation and removal a simple no-tools operation. Touring riders will be tempted by the black Luggage Rack, plus a bungee bar can be added to secure soft luggage or a spare helmet to the XR1200.

The XR1200 has Sport Saddlebags, a Tail Bag and Tank Bag, which is shaped to fit the contour of the fuel tank, available too, all of which should help owners get more from the new model by touring abroad on it. Don’t forget to call Carole Nash for travel insurance on 0800 804 7957 before you go.

Other accessories include Mini-Bullet LED turn signals, plus Diamond Black Footpegs, which feature a distinctive gnarled surface that exposes the raw billet aluminium as general wear and tear occurs. “The XR1200 is a unique motorcycle for Harley-Davidson,” says Brand Manager of Parts Accessories and General Merchandise, Allan Brownridge. “However, we’ve worked hard to ensure that customers can still enjoy the opportunities offered by customisation. The parts and accessories will complement different types of riding to add to the XR1200’s versatility.”
