Super Soco drops two more all-electric learner motorcycles

Super Soco TC TS models

Super Soco, the Chinese manufacturer of small electric motorcycles and scooters, has announced two new additions to its burgeoning range.

The TC Wanderer and TS Street Hunter are urban commuter bikes designed for short trips around town, with a claimed top speed of 45mph and a range of up to 35 miles, although a secondary battery can be fitted as an option to double the range to 70 miles.

In terms of performance, the two models sit between Super Soco’s moped range and the TC Max we recently reviewed. They’re A1 category bikes, meaning that they can be ridden by riders 17-years-old and above. Like 125cc petrol bikes, they can be ridden by learners once they have completed their CBT training.

Both the TS Street Hunter and TC Wanderer utilise a 2500w motor mounted in the rear hub, and have removable batteries, which can be fully charged in just 3.5 hours. The removable batteries mean that the Super Socos don’t need any specialist charging infrastructure, making it easy for riders to recharge at home or at their place of work.
Styling is what really differentiates the two models, the TS Street Hunter taking on a more contemporary sporty look, while the TC Wanderer has more retro and street scrambler touches, such as the classic round headlight, wider and taller handlebars and chunky off-road styled tyres

Both are eligible for the UK Government’s plug in electric vehicle grant, taking the retail price for both down to £3799. There are three colour options for the TC Wanderer: Ceramic Blue, Vintage Green and Stormy Grey, which is also an option for the TS Street Hunter, along with Black, White and Charcoal Blue.
