Ducati update Streetfighter V4, V4S and V4 SP2 models

Here at Carole Nash Insidebikes, we absolutely love a supernaked. And Ducati’s Streetfighter is one of the very best of the bunch, offering mind-blowing power, incredible tech and a handling platform that some fully faired sportsbikes could only dream of. And for 2023, all three of the Streetfighter models see some gentle improvements, mainly borrowed from the latest Panigale V4 superbike.

Starting with the chassis, the Streetfighter V4S now comes equipped with a swingarm pivot which is 4mm higher, working alongside the semi-active Öhlins suspension for a better feeling on track under acceleration and to stop the rear from squatting too much if you’re really piling on the power. Alongside this, the tank has been reshaped for more rider support, while also offering an extra litre of capacity to bring the total up to 17 litres.

Although the V4 engine remains the same, the electronics have seen some reasonably hefty updates. For starters, there’s a new dash set-up (from the Panigale) and the electronics now provide an extra power mode too, offering up full power for the first time on the Streetfighter in every gear except first. There’s also a new ride-by-wire strategy, which maps each gear individually, while the wet riding mode has also been adjusted for 2023. The Engine Braking Control and Ducati Quick Shift settings have also been modified and optimised for the 2023 model too.

If that still doesn’t sound enough to you, Ducati have also released their higher spec V4 SP2, which comes equipped not only with a gorgeously stealthy colour scheme, but uprated Brembo Stylema brakes, a dry clutch and lightweight carbon wheels.
