Meet the £16,000 Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition and the Breitling Triumph Edition Top Time chronograph watch.
Even if you don’t have a massive interest in the world of watches, you must have at least heard of the name Breitling. A huge player in the world of luxury timepieces, they’ve teamed up with Triumph to offer a limited edition take on the Speed Twin, and a chronograph watch to match.
The Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition uses the Speed Twin as a base, but with quite a few little changes to give it that special touch. As far as performance goes, all the main components in the engine and chassis remain the same, aside from a fancy new suspension set-up that comes in the guise of a fully adjustable Öhlins piggy-back twin rear shock.
It’s then been given a ‘Breitling edition’ paint scheme, which is a polychromatic blue that’s been matched to the 1951 Triumph Thunderbird colour, with hand painted coach line detailing to finish it off. There’s also a unique leather seat, Billet machined engine detailing and bespoke instruments, which have been created with cues to the watch design.
With only 270 machines on offer (a tenuous nod to the Speed Twin’s 270-degree parallel twin engine), the Triumph Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition is exclusive too. Each bike comes with an individually numbered handlebar clamp, a certificate of authenticity signed by both Triumph and Breitling’s CEO and of course, the opportunity to purchase a Breitling Top Time Triumph limited-edition chronograph watch, with a number matched to your exact bike.
You don’t have to buy the Speed Twin to purchase the watch though, as the Breitling Top Time Triumph chronographs come in two options, with one being reserved just for the Speed Twin owners with a different finish on the dial, compared to one available to purchase for everyone.
Want to buy a Speed Twin Breitling Limited Edition? The bike alone will set you back £16,000, a fair chunk more than the Speed Twin’s £11,000 RRP. We’ve yet to hear what the watch will cost, but a ‘standard’ Breitling Top Time retails for north of £4,000, making it a £20k combo at least.
