Chinese brand Voge has entered the UK market for the very first time, offering up an impressively spec’d A2-compliant adventure bike for a nip under £5,000.
After spending years selling bikes throughout Europe, Voge (owned by Loncin, a Chinese powerhouse of a motorcycle brand) have finally made the jump into the UK, selling their A2-compliant 500DS for the very first time on our shores: a 471cc adventure bike, for under five grand.
And if first impressions are anything to go by, then it’s difficult not to be impressed as you really do get a lot of bike for the money. The 471cc parallel twin motor (which powers a host of different bikes in their range) in the 500DS offers up just over 46 bhp and 31.3 lb-ft torque, which isn’t to be sniffed at. Those figures are in line with the Europe-wide A2 licence limit of 47bhp and similar to the similarly styled Honda CB500X, which would set you back over a grand more.
The Voge comes equipped with some brand name components too, considering the price; there’s KYB suspension front and rear, with tidy looking upside forks and monoshock, Nissin Brakes, Pirelli Angel ST rubber, Bosch ABS, TFT dash, Bluetooth connectivity… that really is a list that would suggest more than the £4,999 price tag that the 500DS asks for.
Voge are currently doing a deal where the first 32 U.K customers will get a free luggage set as well, and if you’re quick, they’re also offering up 0% finance, alongside a two year parts and labour warranty for peace of mind.
The people behind Lexmoto, one of the biggest selling sub-125cc brands here in the UK, are looking after support and distribution, which is reassuring as Lexmotos have rightly gained a good reputation for quality and spares backup.
If you fancy one or want to know more, the Voges are available through Lexmoto’s fairly wide dealer network and will be available imminently. We can’t wait to swing a leg over one and see how it performs.
