Kawasaki has breathed new life into one of its most popular models by upgrading the suspension and brakes on its retro Z900RS model, to create the Z900RS SE.
The Z900RS has been one of our favourite modern classics in recent years and the upgrades should address the few weaknesses that have been laid at it.
An Ohlins S46 rear shock replaces the rather underwhelming unit of the standard model, while the 41mm front shocks have been given reworked internals and fancy looking gold coloured outer tubes.
Brakes also get an upgrade with Brembo M4.32 monobloc callipers gripping 300mm front discs, with steel braided hoses and a new Nissin master cylinder completing the package.
Visually, the SE gets a ‘Yellow Ball’ livery inspired by the 1972 Kawasaki Z1 ‘Super Four’, complete with spangly gold coloured wheels.
The Kawasaki Z900RS SE is set to be a limited run model, with deliveries in early 2022. Price is slated at £12,499, which £1,850 more than the standard model upon which it is based.
