Famed German car tuners release their take on KTM’s Super Duke R
You might not have heard of BRABUS, but they’re a pretty big deal in the four wheeled world. It’s a brand synonymous with handcrafted, luxury and exclusive takes on high-performance cars, creating special editions and Gucci-spec versions of Mercedes-Benz cars in the four wheeled world, and most recently in the marine sector as well with exclusive day boats. But now? Well, they’ve entered the two-wheeled market as well, collaborating with KTM.
Their first venture, the 1300 R is essentially a customised Super Duke R, utilising the same engine, chassis, and main components, which includes using the same suspension and electronics. From here, BRABUS have gone to work creating something special, that includes a whole new design that’s sharp and edgy and pretty stunning if we do say so ourselves. They’ve then gone to town on making it special by gifting the 1300 R with exclusive BRABUS Monoblock wheels, a whole host of high-end carbon body elements, a new double-pipe exhaust, a custom heated seat and a bucket-load of CNC-machined goodies too.
The 1300 R will be available in either Magma Red or Signature Black, with only 77 of each colour available to purchase. Although there’s no word on price, though it’s a safe bet they won’t be cheap. If you fancy one you can order exclusively through the KTM.com pre-order web page, which will start at 2pm on 14th February. So, how’s that for a Valentine’s Day present?
