New Driver Number Requirements

From 31st March 2025, it will be a legal requirement to provide the driving licence number of each driver named on an insurance policy.

Please update your details to include your driving licence number here.

The Road Traffic Act 2023 will be updated on 31st March 2025 making it a legal requirement in Ireland to provide driving licence numbers for each drivers covered on an insurance policy.

To comply with the change to the Road Traffic Act 2023, please provide the relevant for licence number for each driver named on any policies you hold with us.

Carole Nash Insurance Consultants (Ireland) DAC are capturing this information for all drivers recorded on policies administered through Carole Nash, on behalf of its panel of insurance companies.

It is straightforward to submit your licence information to us, simply complete the following form and we will update your policy accordingly. If there are more than 2 drivers named on your policy, you need to call us on 1800 298 551

Please note

Where we are not in receipt of the required licence numbers of all drivers on an insurance policy, we will not be able to renew your existing policy, or incept a new one.

 

Where can I find my driving licence number?

Your driver number can be found in field 4d. of your licence.
